A wonderful nan, the best anyone could ever have.
She would do anything for you, and was always there for you no matter what.
She loved bingo, used to go 4 times a week, she always used to cook the best roast dinners, she was the best cook at anything really!
She loved deal or no deal, always liked a go on the fruit machines and a couple of scratchcards, and she nearly always used to win £1!
The week before she died, she had fluid retention in her legs, and as the week went on, she was going downhill but none of us saw it as we were all going up everyday to see her. She also had been told about a month or so earlier that she had Breast Cancer. She was due to go in for an operation but the hospital advised she had more chance of being treated than having it removed if she went ahead with the operation there was a 60% chance she wouldn't come through, so she declined it and we all thought she would be with us for a few more years.
She went into hospital on Thursday 18th September, and on the Sunday my sister and family went up to see her and they said she looked a lot better and it looked hopeful that she would be back home in the week, little did we all know that in the morning we would get a phone call that was going to change all our lives.
The call came at about 10.30 in the morning and we were all shocked to hear that nan had taken a turn for the worse. We all rushed up there as quickly as we could, but nothing could prepare us for how she was, she was on oxygen, had a drip in and was in and out of sleep.
She had by this time fluid on the lungs and we was told that her heart was failing and the doctors had given her 24 hours to live.
The time came at just before 10pm that day where she passed away in her sleep, she had all of her immediate family around her all in all there was 11 of us around her as she passed.
She is so very dearly missed and was definitely one of a kind.
She left behind a daughter, 5 grandchildren and 5 great grandchildren, 1 of which was born the same week nan went.
Nan is at peace now and re-united with her husband Pat and son Michael.
God saw you getting tired and a cure was not to be. So He put his arms around you and whispered "Come to Me." with tearful eyes I watched you, and saw you pass away. Although I loved you dearly, I could not make you stay.A golden heart stopped beating, hard working hands at rest. God broke... my heart to prove, he only takes The BEST. x

We do not need a special day to bring you to our minds.
The days we do not think of you are very hard to find.
Each morning when we awake we know that you are gone.
And no one knows the heartache as we try to carry on.

We loved you so much and wish that you didnt have to leave, i know Heaven is a better place with you there but i miss you so much, everyone misses you.
You touched so many people a truly loving and caring person who had time for everyone, you were always there for us all and there could never be another one like you.
I wish we could hold you just one more time.
